Jo and Janelle each have over 26 years of hand therapy experience. Making this team one of the most experienced and qualified in SA.
Our Hand Therapists are both Registered Occupational Therapists, Certified and Accredited Hand Therapist.

Jo Marsh

Jo is our team lead. She is recognised as an experienced hand therapist in South Australia. She has successfully established and run her hand therapy practice since 2006. and worked in the lead Hand Therapy position at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She has been a registered Occupational Therapist since graduating from the University of South Australia in 1998. And has specialised in the field of hand therapy since 2000.

Jo began her hand therapy career working in the major teaching hospitals in  London, before a stint in the Hand Clinic at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She opened her own private practice shortly after her daughter was born in 2006. She supports the learning of others through the AHTA mentoring program, and is an advocate for hand therapy locally. Jo enjoys attending local, national and international hand therapy education sessions and conferences as often as able!
Her sharing nature is present in her commitment to local, and international philanthropy. And she has been a  Board Member of Suneden Specialist School since 2019. (Check out Suneden TV for a taste of this magnificent school & students).
Jo is mum to a teen-aged daughter. She loves to travel, hiking & snow skiing. She dabbles in mountaineering. And has a passion for growing fruit, vegetables and flowers in her Adelaide Hills garden. And spending weekends on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Jo works in Stirling on Mondays and Fridays and in Mount Barker, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. She will happily pop in to Stirling (or Mount Barker) on Saturdays by appointment as required.

Janelle Hill

Janelle brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to our team. She has been practicing hand therapy for over 25 years! Having graduated with first class honors as an Occupational Therapist from the University of South Australia in 1995.
She gained a broad range of OT skills working in the areas of aged care, stroke and orthopedic rehabilitation and community care early in her career.

 Janelle worked at the RAH in the area of hand therapy since 1999, and most recently held the position of lead therapist in Hand Therapy for the Occupational Therapy Department.
Her main areas of professional interest include;
- brachial plexus and complex nerve injuries and repair, 
- management of complex and mutilating hand injuries,
- rheumatology.
Janelle is a respected hand therapy educator, who has been active in providing education and support to rural therapists working in hand therapy for the past decade,  providing theory and practical education sessions,  webinars,  and mentoring. She runs our successful in-house Hand Therapy Specialist Skills Course.
Outside of work Janelle is a supportive mother and wife who enjoys hills life with her family and friends.
Janelle works in our Mount Barker on Monday and Fridays and in Stirling on Wednesdays.
